Mexico: Time for Tacos & Catch-up!

Aaaaaaaaaand we're back! Happy 2016!

Ok, grab a glass of wine because we've got lots of catching up to do!

In the past few months I've been busy, the good kind of busy where my life has changed in all the right ways. I quit my job, switched coasts (I am now team west coast, best coast) and...drum roll pls...

I got married! After tying the knot in Mexico, we honeymooned in Australia & New Zealand. Once stateside I made stops in Vegas and Sedona. This month I'm jetting to St. Louis (there's apparently wine country an hour outside the city) and then it's off to Thailand and the Philippines! Savor & Snap is going global in addition to west and east coast coverage. Soon you'll see posts from our new NYC based Chief of East Coast Eats :)

Flashback to Mexico. I got married in Puerto Vallarta and it is now my new favorite Mexican destination! At least compared to Cabo, Cancun and Cozumel. It just felt a bit more authentic and while touristy it wasn't over the top and in your face.

After partying like rockstars at Mandala (I lost count of how many vodka sparklers we ordered) our crew worked up an appetite for something yummo! But where on earth were we going eat at 4am?

Luckily we had some local intel...our videographer Graham suggested Pepe's Tacos. YES. We ordered one...then another...then another. By the end of the night our group of 15 had all left and it was just me, the hubs and Graham eating taco after taco discussing life until about 6am. You must order the al pastor! I mean for $1.25 it doesn't get any better than this.

My mouth still salivates when I think about Pepe's. I'm inspired to find something close to it in the Mission or even put my wifey culinary skills to work. You'll see soon enough!

Cheers, clink clink :)
