My friend Christine tipped me off to Blue Bottle's yummo liege waffle! It's only $4...fancy taste with a not so fancy price tag...my kind of morning meal! Even better, it's on the concourse of 30 Rock...my new breakfast spot!
I can't even really explain why I thought it was so good but every bite had me giggling with joy! I mean it doesn't look like much...when the barista/waffle maker man handed it to me I gave him a puzzled look and asked where the powdered sugar was...his response, you don't need it! I was very suspect. But it's true! It is perfectly sweet and comforting...I would be happy eating them every morning. I almost went back the next morning for another waffle but I held back...mainly because there was free pizza for lunch, it's all about balance folks!
So the secret is out. You're welcome!
Note: They don't serve waffles on weekends :(
