Greetings from San Francisco! When I'm here I feel like the best version of myself. It probably has something to do with its close proximity to wine country (Napa & Sonoma) but more than that its just all my favorite things in one place...amazing food, nature and some of the best people I know.
This trip I surprised myself and ran 6 miles from Marina Green through Crissy field over the Golden Gate Bridge. The last time I ran 6 miles was 3 years ago when I signed up for a 10K after one too many margaritas. Now I'm training for a half marathon...which I think justifies my dessert downfall. 24 hours after my run, I found myself at The Plant (all organic, free range poultry, sustainable seafood)...I was thinking let's take this health kick full speed!
I started out strong: kale salad with fresh fish of the day, salmon. It was delicious and light but left me wanting more. I felt the need to be a little bad...and so this happened...
TCHO DING DONG...isn't that just so fun to say?! Devil food cake, salted caramel, chocolate ganache, vanilla cream and black berry sauce...YESSSSSSSSS! Like a champ, I ate the entire piece by myself!! It was divine, worth every bite!!!
Big thanks to my friend Angela who took me here. We've been friends since we interned together at Inside Edition over 10 years ago. I think something special like that deserves to be celebrated with lots of cake all day, every day!
